The end of season Cup reveals that Surf may enter the finals!

Game 1 Vs. Solar (Another rivalry!)

I was not at the game; here is a summary I wrote based off an interview from Adam K.:

The first game was one-sided for us until the first water break when we were forced to attempt to maintain the ball. We scored, then they scored, then us, and so on. It became a battle of skill. We continued to maintain the ball later in the game and took the lead in the third quarter, giving us a moral and physical advantage. The game ended 5-4, Surf had won!

Game 2 Vs. Steel United

Boy! What a rough game. Coach Calum reported on this one by saying, "Mark it out in black ink. It can be forgotten." We had trouble building out from the back sides and thus they made a number of chances. The troublesome outcome came to: 1-7 Surf lost. Coach Calum decided to call the game going into the fourth quarter for numerous reasons: 5 players were injured (Landon, Asher, Mateo, Ethan the keeper, Ethan the defender), we were down a bunch, we only had ten players, and it was hot. It was a bittersweet moment when we called the game, because it would be fun to keep playing, but neither scoreboard or our excuses would not be in our favor. Coach said, "Usually I am not one to have excuses. But I hate to say it; we have many good ones."

Game 3 Vs. FC Dallas Gold - Semifinals

This semifinal's score was far worse than expected. But there were a number of good things we can take out of this game. Firstly, our performance was exceptional. We were trying to get overloads at the top of the field, we created numerous opportunities, and we almost always had various options going forward. Secondly, we were creating chances. Although this team was skilled enough to stop us from going farther than the middle third, they couldn't stop us from trying. There were some plays that needed to be made and we made them. Lastly, we were stubborn. When we lost the ball, save a couple of times, everyone tried to get it. In this way, we gained possession from their attacks and were able to counter them in front and behind the ball. But this team was very skilled and could control the ball well in most situations. We could have controlled the middle better, but we learned from our mistakes. The game ended 0-5, Surf had again lost.
