8th Game Vs. Nido Aquila
An annoying game to end the season. Why? Read on…
Player of the match: Asher, for keeping us going and encouraging us through it all
Goal scorer(s): N/A
Funny of the game: Dylan literally destroyed a kid on the opposing team!
1st Half
I won’t write too much about the two games this weekend. They were rough, and we played terribly against them. This game was even worse than the first and I am surprised that we didn’t get destroyed more than we did. Our team played terriblyagainst Nido Aquila. We usually pass and recieve, get into players, stick with it, want the ball, but not this game.
They game began with an annoying goal for Nido Aquila. There were two people on the opposing team that could play. One of which asked me ifI felt sorry when I barely touched him and they called it a foul; the other literally slammed right into me in anger. Honestly, I felt bad for the desperate players they had, not because I touched a dude and he fell. They scored on us once, twice, and again in the first half. The team was extremely annoying, but we just couldn’t get our rythm. Another thing that did not improve our playing was the fact that the ball was rock solid. Asher said, “I promise you there is something inside that ball.” And it was true. He would drop it for a punt, and it would seem to turn into rock middair. I tried it at halftime and he was totally right. The half ended 0-3, and we seemed hopeless.
At half, coach Calum said that we needed to fight back. “You boys are letting them run over you. This team is bad.” He was short and sweet, and you would think that talk would wake us up…😴 (but it didn’t)
2nd Half
Wow! What another half from us. They played a slight bit better, and so did we, but it was still a sort of blow-out. I ranted to my dad about our performance afterward for probably 20 minutes. It was annoying. We just didn’t seem to know what to do with the ball. Get it, lose it, get it, lose it…it was hard. Dylan had a wide open shot on goal for the second time this weekend behind the keeper, and he missed far right. Coach Calum had to leave for another game, so Dylan’s dad coached us. The rest of the game dragged on, as Noah said, “That was the longest quarter of my life!” The game ended a annoying
