7th Game Vs. F.C. Dallas Silver
“To go for the win is a dream…to win the game is reality.” -Anonymous
Player of the match: Noah, for playing a solid game and absolutely destroying a couple people.
Goal Scorer(s): Juan, Amir
Funny of the game: An ice cream truck played extremely annoying music the entire game!!
Funny of the game: Simon got his 4th yellow card of the season in the first 7 seconds of this game.
This was going to be a good close game. The whole game was extremely exciting and suspensful, and at the end, after a long fun match, we had another surprise. The F.C. Dallas Silver team was a really, so called, “Mehhhh” Team. I played them a long time ago on Evolution, and they were very good. My thought is that all the best players went to the F.C. Dallas Gold team, and now the Gold team of F.C. Dallas is very skilled and they play well together. We were ready to play this team.
1st Half
The game began with a yellow card on me. I tripped up a dude when he was about to score, and then at the end of the game..well…you will see what happens. This was exciting during most of the game! JUan made a quick goal after a nice passing squence from the back side, to Landon outside, then from Josh to Juan, and Juan scored in the left corner right behind the goalie! We scored at the very begginng to give us a confident start. We passed excellently during most of the first half, and Josh was like the revolving wheel for this. It was a really good game for all of us, and we looked really great out there! The half ended after a few close calls, and a slow-down, as coach called it, for the finishing 10 minutes of the half.
Coach Calum said at half, “ You have had a good game together up until this point. Let’s try to get goals. Goals win games, boys. We need a bigger cushion than that. People say, ‘1-0, even though in the lead, is the worst score to have in football because they could get the confidence of scoring th etying goal on you’. We need to get a better cushion.” We…were ready, and also happy about the lead, but nervous for the contents of the second half.
2nd Half
This whole second half was pressureful and exciting! The half started with a nice shot from them…somehow getting behind Asher! It was sad, but I told Ian when we were retreiving the ball, “ Let’s keep going guys. We got this.” We did. Then we replied with a nice shot to the top post, but sadly it was just over. Juan had a nice shot on goal, but they just couldn’t let one in. They played well, and scored on us…and we began freaking out, or so it looked; we began missing balls, getting a huge miss and they scored again off a counterattack! It was terrible, but Amir played calm and returned off a nice pass with a beautiful pass into the goal behind the fallen keeper to tie the game! The game was tied for a long time, and then, with much malice, they lost the ball to Josh. Josh passed up to Mateo, but he lost the ball to another huge dude. Another shot on goal, then another, then another, but Asher was keeper of the goal and he woundn’t let a single in (besides the ones already in). Although, sadly, they scored once more to make them in the lead by one. We could not reply this game to that shot, and to add onto that, they scored right behind, and it went right through Asher’s legs. Although this was an unfortunate, and, “ Sour!” win, as coach said, we played a nice game. We went home with a sad expression and another loss. So far in the NPL league, we have never won a single game…😬
Thanks so much for reading, and come back next week for the big three games, played one on Saturday, and two on Sunday!!!

Summaries by Coach
This weekend we played against FC Dallas Silver. I felt the boys played much better and it was really hard to not get at least a point out of the game. We wanted to try and get ball to controlling the possession and making simpler decisions on the ball. I think the moments we were most dangerous were when we were able to keep the ball and bring our outside players into the game. We controlled the middle and we looked dangerous going forward creating chances by building or countering. We created the most chances in this game then previous weekends. I was really happy with the effort, energy and focus the lads put into this game. This was a good team performance and hopefully we can continue to build on this.
